Cheap Pump for Infusion/Vacuum Bagging

Is a pump like this acceptable for smaller scale infusions and vacuum bagging projects?

Is there a different type or brand of pump that you guys would suggest?

Any one have any suggestions on a cost effective option for a vacuum pump?

That pump should do it.

Keep in mind that it does smoke somewhat. Also order the hose barb to allow connection of a hose, as these units usually have an obscure thread.

It will draw a deep vacuum. Make sure you have no leaks, and for visual parts, MTI hose is recommended.
