Challenges of Recycling Carbon Fiber

Hi Everyone,
It has been a while since I have posted on composites central. I am currently writing a series of short articles aimed at educating the general public on issues related to the composites industry, our environment, and the challenges of recycling carbon fiber. With the use of composites taking on larger roles in todays designs, the the problem of " what to do" with the material after the original product life has expired is becoming more relevant. I welcome any information that you may want to offer or see included. You can e-mail me at kevin@mach3composites.com
I plan to just cut and paste each article as to not spam any of you. Thanks.

You might want to join SAMPE, a lot of good events are held with some great speakers.

Hi Kevin,

you might also want to let the public know that it is possible to repair composites (even structurally) instead of replacing them. That reduces them amount needing to be recycled.
