this was our first CF peice we popped out of the mould… in the picture its in the backyard having a few minor repairs ( in the left hand side of the vents ) but apart from that we were very pleased with the result… the goldish ring around the egdes is pure gloss… and this was just the gelcoat! it still hadnt been cut back, buffed or cleared…
anyways just wanted to contribute! here it is! what do you guys think?

Whoa, I apologize. I have never seen a skyline before. Ikeep hearing about them and gettng glimpses on the internet. Is this an origianl or a fiberglass remake?
Doogie the car is an r34 gtt skyline… very nice little cars… well i would say little car but they are quite big!

the car is original, the scoop he bought (in fibreglass) and we moulded it, then made him a CF one… we also made a FRP one for his mate in an s14 ( you know s14s yea? i dont know of you have diff names for cars in the states…) and we fitted them both… they have a show in a few weeks (autosalon) so i should be able to get some better pics then…

If it is a Nissan Skyline, it is a 200sx or 240sx over here in the states, as that is what a datsun / Nissan racer told me.

we never had a skyline in the states until now(the infiniti G35 is an R35 skyline). The S14 he is referring to is the same car as our 240sx.
I forget somtimes that different countries have different cars. Was so shocked when i read you havent seen one doogie.
skyline was the daddy of the strip for years over here jap wise (everybodys dream car untill evo’s, scoobies, … came out, i still want a gtr :roll: (i think topsecret have kicked out/made a few now +1000bhp road legal)
and what saxman said is right the S14 is an SX in the UK and USA just with different numbers (i forget which :roll: )
S14 is the chassis code. The JDM Silvia = USDM 240sx for the most part with the exception of the engine and a few misc details.
Skyline’s are imported here into the US all the time. They can be made DOT legal by Motorex.

Over here s13s/s14s and s15s are Silvias, not Skylines…
The s15 is the 200sx…
And i was under the impression s13s/180sx’s (they have the same chassis and engines etc but just a diff shell, so 180s are classed as s13s too, well, they are s13s ) were classed as the 240 overseas, but maybe i was wrong… :?:
Skylines are getting pretty common in australia now… you can pick them up pretty cheaply too… a R32 GTR will set you back around $19,000 AUD…
Which is about $14,725 in the states

the r32 gtrs are very nice machines…
yeah you can get a new R34 V-spec for about $95,000 here in the states and for a good used R34 for about $60,00. But that includes the around 5-9 thousand dollars that it takes to modify the car so you can registar it in the states.
