Caution!

Never try to use a dbl. pane window for a Vacuum infused process test over tall metal license plate frames…:o

WE have been playing and testing some ideas of mine and well…long story short, the students set it up and did a vacuum test looking for leaks and before the vacuum pump got to 15" or so…it shatter both panels of the glass!

Luckly, no one got hurt!

We have been using it many times to learn the process and make flat panels…but…BANG!

Come one Owen, post your reactions!

No offense, but it would seem that this issue would have been though of before using a double pane window.
We use 3/8" high strength glass panels to make flat items.

Ya, we also have 1/4" tempered glass 3’ x 8’ but since this was also laying around a friends house and it doesn’t take up or use up much materials in them learning the hands on process.

Plus, on Wed. during the day is In House detention…instead of giving the hoodlums a day off running the streets, they have to in there, studying, reading, no sleeping and no jacking off…opps, I’m bad!

And they play with anything they can get their hands on…like dropping stuff down & into expensive routers…
