Nice. Did you strip off the vinyl first?
no but i cleaned it up pretty good with rubbing alcahol and adhesive remover… its curing right now… it dosnt look too bad i think i used too much epoxy though…
that shit made me feel sick… i had to come home from being out with my friends to take a nap… it made me really tired…
im getting an oven… my uncle had one and said i could barrow it.
any tips?
THANKS!

What kindn of resin did you use? Epoxy has the least odor compares to polyester and vinyl ester.
What are you using the oven for? Heat cure? You might end up warping your plastic piece that way so be careful.
im using! polyesyter epoxy
and for now im using a work light to keep the temp up becuase its like 35 in my garage
also… should i spary paint it with clear coat?
Clear coat is optional if your resin doesn’t already have UV protection.
it feels like the epoxy cured
i just have to trim off the excess that i left… any good way to do this?
and holy crap that stuff STILL reaks like ALL hell…
i dont have UV protected resin or uv protected clear coat hehe
any sharp razor should do. I use the dremel sometimes if it’s too thick. Usually I trim it off first before addin extra layers of resin.
i think ill break out the dremal and see what i can do
if you don’t have one you really should get a respirator
the 3m half face 3mr 6100,6200,6300 (small med large) with an organic vapor filter and some prefilters would be a good start. i can get them for about 30$ for the entire setup.
