Carbon sleeve around bends

Hi , just found this forum and theres looks to be alot of info on here and i was hoping that some one could help me with this .

I need to make a pipe 3 inches in diamiter with some 180 degree 3 inch radius ( to center) bends in it over a core i can disolve out later , i would like to make it in one peice and it is only for a air intake so will not have any load on it .
Is it possible for a carbon sleeve to go around a curve like this with out bunching up on the inside and what would be best to use as the core , idealy i would like a foam i can cast into shape but disolve out later .

Any info or advise would be appreciated , thanks .

I haven’t dealt with a 180deg bend, but I would say the inside will bunch up, or the outside will expand and have many gaps. You might have to piece the sleeve in 2-3 sections. The straight sections, and some of the bend, and then another piece just in the bend area. it will take some shear off the fabric…but in the end, will be one piece product.
