I made a carbon fiber fuel tank for a gixxer forum member from Griece. It is a Gsx-r 1000 2007 / 2008 model fuel tank.
It had to be one piece with the front and side panels. The original pieces weight more then 6200 gram excl. fuel cap of 400 gram. This piece weights 2200 gram incl. a fuel cap of 150 gram. All made with infusion.

did you infuse with the threaded inserts or bond after infusion? How did you get the fuel pump mounting plate in there, infused over or bonded as well?

This is nothing short of beautiful work on a motorcycle tank!! I have seen some Carbon tanks that are not very impressive, but in pictures this is stellar looking… I can only imagine how immaculate it is in person!
I’m quite envious of this Gixxer rider, as I would love a CF tank for my ride… One day, I guess.
