I am doing a research project for my Masters. I need a good quantity of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) plates. I looked up for vendors on Google but all I could find is just Carbon Fiber vendors. If anyone deals with CFRP or if anyone knows someone who deals with CFRP, please let me know ASAP. Thanks.
what kind of plates do you need?
there are a few companies that sell pre made plates or they will make them to order if you have specific layup requirements.
I think the companies that make them use a press ususaly.
You can talk to ACP, in livermore. They can make plates to order and they have presses as well as doing vacuum bagged or autoclaved. Obviously there would be some lead time. I’ve worked with them and they’re pretty reliable.
There is also dragon plate and rock west that do the same sort of thing.
