Car Front Spoiler Construction

What would be best to construct a car front lower spolier/lip from. GRP is too brittle on its own, and I don’t have the facilities to mold ABS or PU RIM.
So would a mix of kevlar/diolen/carbon be better? Is there any resins that flexible properties with high abrasive strength?

I found a company making GRP bodykits and they appear much more durable that traditional kits, surprisingly they are called “Duraflex” heres there Promo (porno) vid!

Anyone got ideas of what they might of done to get them this flexible?

your right, the start seems like a porn…she does not belong in that ad, or in acting at ALL. Anyway.
I think it’s just injection molded glass reinforced plastic. They never said it was woven glass or anything. The sound of them trying to break it sounds like a plastic as well. There might be some sort of PU resin (I know AirProducts is coming out with a polyurea resin that is very flexible. Just getting over the processing issues with it now)
they also could have added a filler in with a thermoset resin just to make it tougher, and added only a few layers of glass fabric.

I guess this is a thermoplastic material.

If you want a similar effect with a thermoset resin, try for instance SR8150 resin from Sicomin. That is what the bumpers and skirts of many Paris Dakar racers are made of.

o dear o dear that really is a dodgy video!!!

Must be a plastic bumper not grp. how brittle were those ‘other bumpers’ tho not much reinforcement in there!

Thanks guys, will have a look into some more flexible thermoset resins, definitly the one you mentioned herman…
