Hey guys…I’m traveling a great deal in California ( Bakersfield to SAn Diego)…and wanted to get a list going of local shops,labs and related business’ if you know of some.
Basically trying to set up possible relationships and supliers for current works etc.

No idea, but there might be a good way to check out companies by location on Composite’s World Source Book website/hard copy.
I think thats a good source at this juncture. Doesent appear Jim (Werksburg) or any of the local Socal folks want meet any new people ?

Don’t get too carried away! Research is very different from a successful manufacturing operation. 
I think you’ll have a tough time finding people that will just let you in to their shops. I don’t even let some of my clients into all areas of the shop, and companies I consult for are the same.
Boat makers are generally more relaxed about this kind of stuff since they’re usually a stinky operation and nothing really high tech to see. Even then, they might think you’re from OSHA checking up on them.
Maybe I should come clear on my intentions . I’m just one guy…traveling in an unrelated industry (gas station eqpt.engineering)…who happens to love working with composites for my car collection and the neat hoods,interior pieces and aero bits I’ve fashioned for Infusion.
I have no aspirations to go big or compete nationally with anyone.
In fact…I might clear my handle/name up too,whiile I’m at it…WOrldwealth doesent even have anything to do with COmposites,but my feelings on spreading friendship.
And by the way TET…I was in Newport Saturday…then Yorba Linda this week…and today I’m going over to Pac.Palisades for a few 2-4 days.
If no shop tour…maybe a beer later on after work. I’m buying.
I’m just trying to keep from overloading on the lonely which is rampant for me on these trips.
In fact…looks like I may need to do a temp.move for 12-15 months to cover my bases.
SO I was looking into a furnished Apt. in Huntington Beach area.
Let me know if your open to meeting a Midwesterner who’s happy go lucky and not invasive ??

Sorry, but we just got back from a 4,700 mile holiday driving trip from Mid. Tenn. (caught a cold there) and Branson, MO. plus a ton of back orders to get out…
Wow Jim…thats alot of seat time brother ! Branson ??? You were 30-40 minutes from my house…and I was maybe the same from yours here in LA,lol.
I’m finished today in Gardena…and heading over to Pac. Palasades for a few days…let me know if you want to meet up. That is when your settled back in.
