So the subject kind of says it all. We are planning to brush VE Duratec primer onto an MDF male mold. This will then be sanded down and semi-permed. Having never worked with this product before, will we need to thin it? Does a certain brush work best? Recommendations? The mold is medium sized…similar shape to a 2ft tall 18" diameter block.
You dont need to thin it for brushing but I have used a little acetone in the past adding after catalizing and mixing. Note Duratec do not recommend acetone they have their own thinner for spraying applications. It goes off quite quickly so only mix up a little at a time. Go cupsize 200-300grm and see how far that gets you Normal resin brush works ok or you can roll and tip it.
