bonding cure flat panels over divinycell core

Hi,
what is the best way of bonding two flat cures CF sheets over foam core?

I had tried this once before and I got some kind of wavy result !
what I did: after letting each panel fully cure, i thickened my epoxy (adthech 820) applied it with squeegee over peel ply side of each sheet, sandwiched the foam and put it under vacuum. is this the right way of doing it?
can i just put the whole stack between board and put some weight on it instead of bagging it?
Thanks

Wat did you put under the flat sheet ?

Piece of glass, same glass I use to make the flat sheets. So it is glass, 1st sheet, foam, 2nd sheet and bag…I did not sand the laminate and it is 12k carbon so backside(peel ply side) has lot of texture. Could that be the problem?

Are the panel faces warped before bonding to the core?

No they are not warped at all before bonding

Use a top sheet of something as well. Could be aluminium, wood, anything. Then use (moderate) vacuum to press things against each other.

Keep in mind that a full vacuum is some 10 tons of weight per m2 (2000 lbs per sqft or so). You do not need all that to bond panels. Even 10% of that is enough.

Yes Herman, I think that was my problem, to much pressure. And the corners of the 1st layer where ther was no core didn’t have that wavy issue.
