How do you guys bond skeleton to hood? With glue or resin? if glue what kind?
I believe people use a highly filled urethane adhesive.
How’s this trunk done? from the side it seen like the skeleton and hood is one complete piece. You cannot see the trim or glue between two pieces.

That BMW trunk is made just like all the other crappy ones. Inside frame is attached with adhesive paste, usually a cheap resin thickened with filler, instead of a proper adhesive designed for joining composites. Then the edges are sanded smooth.
What is the proper adhesive for this type of work? and will i be able to sand the edge so it can be smooth?
Many options out there. Look for an epoxy adhesive that is designed for joining composites. Good surface preparation is critical, and sanding should be easy when cured.
i use epoxy putty, which is the same as the company’s epoxy glue, only in a putty form. it’s amazingly strong, and i have a habit of glueing everything with that. only thing is, it cures for 24h.
