Bladder Molding Problems

Ive been making parts for years using Vinylester resins by infusion under a latex bladder and have had no problems but recently have moved over to Epoxy and have had a big problem with the latex sticking to the part. I use a water based liquid on the latex but its not cutting it for Epoxy. Any ideas?
Im moving over to Silicone bladders but need a quick solution in the interim.
Pleeeeeease help.

See a doctor if you have bladder problems. We are a composites group.

ANyway, now that I got that out of the way…maybe try wax, or in the meantime, wrap the bladder with release film/plastic wrap…

youll probably have to switch your epoxy, or go back to vinylester

Have you tired using a semi-permanent release wax?

Use any wax that would work on epoxy, like Meguiars M87, or a spray-on wax like release-ease 200.

And keep within range of a toilet. Bladder problems can become messy. (sorry, can’t help it :))

Thanks for the replies
Yeah Wax seems to be doing the trick. I tried all kinds of semi permanents that we had on the shelf but good old fashioned wax did the trick. Its a bit tricky waxing a flimsy bag but its better than it sticking.
And yes I expected the bladder jokes.

I have very good results with semi perm, just not on rubber based materials. (neither latex, silicone, or Gibco Flexmold anti skid profiles.)

yes it is tricky waxing a flimsy bag.

Shouldn’t be too difficult. Inflate molding bladder, apply liquid mold release agent.

TET- pretty sure that was a joke man.
