Best epoxy for overlays

I’ve been using some US Composites epoxy for my overlays but I’m tempted to try something different. Anyone recommend any other brand over the US Composites stuff? I need something that can handle lots of sunlight and heat.

Also does anyone know of anywhere that sells a good clear epoxy topcoat?

Well, it would really help if you listed WHERE the HECK you are located!!!

Let me take a guess, 905 area code=Toronto at least the GTA

I guess that would help…LOL Bricklin is right, I’m just outside of Toronto.

Damn, I almost forgot that we have freedom of recommendation on this forum. Not like the fiberglas nazi’s on the other forum…L.O.L.
Just kidding.
It would be difficult to recommend one brand over another since we don’t know what is available near you. What suppliers and what product lines do they carry near you?

What city outside of Toronto?

Oug, I bet it is a frozen one…

Be Quiet JM, …Just cause you live in the Sunny state of Cali…doesn’t mean yu can make fun of those of us less fortunates.

It’s cold but not that bad…it was 4 deg. C today (about 40 F). I’m not necessarily looking for something close…I don’t mind getting it shipped. West System is readily available but I’ve read that it isn’t so good for overlaying parts that will get lots of sun.

I was going to order some from Evan but since he’s away i’m looking for another source.

Oug must be cold as he is shaking and shivering on the keyboard…

Try looking up www.Revchem.com or www.bjbenterprises.com and see if any hits you…

Why not System Three SB112 that icancomposites used to sell?

It’s available elsewhere, just more expensive. I would use this but I don’t want two parts for top coat. It is UV protected and some people have had parts out for over a year with no ill effects. I had a part out for a few months with no problems.
