Been testing a new material which is still a development formulation. I had to make some air box parts for a customer but I got to make a velocity stack from the stuff to test and its very good… Just out of the mould with no lacquer it has stunning clarity. I only had scraps to use for the velocity stacks so this is made with those scraps.
What kind of cure temp does this preg use?
It cures at 85 degrees C (not sure of fahrenheit…)
85C is 185 F
Any idea if/when this OOA may be available for purchase?
Not sure… It should be in the new year…
What’s the resin content by weight?
I think it is 41 to 42%. I would need to check the roll… There is no PDF for the material yet so I am not 100% sure.
what’s the thickness of the part?
The velocity stack is between 0.6 and 0.9mm thick (2 or 3 layers) depending on where you cut it. It has to be 3 layers thick lower down and 2 layers up round the top of the stack.
So for a thin part to get no pinholes is really good.
