Baltek End Grain Balsa Panel Source

Baltek makes end grain balsa panels with a layer of glass
fiber adhered in the manufacturing process. This effectively
seals the balsa to prevent resin absorption as additional plies
are built up. It comes in 4’ X 8’ sheets. Jamestown
Distributors used to carry it in their catalog, but not in the
last one. Pricey stuff at about $500 for a 3/4" sheet.

Anybody know of a source in less than carload lots?

Thanks.

call up the manufacturer of the balsa core and ask them for the closest distributor to you. You can find balsa core much cheaper either direct or through a dealer. going through hobby sites you get raped.

Cantact Baltek directly. I have purchased small quantities of Soric & Coremat from them in the past & they are great to work with.
