I have finally successfully infused my first part but I have a question. When I bagged the part there were a few spots on the edges that were bridging slightly so there was a little bit of resin build-up in those areas, so could I use some breather wrapped in peel-ply to help push everything flat against the mold in those spots? I want to make sure that it will not absord to much resin and leave dry areas. BTW, I am using stretchlon 800 for the bag.
yeah, or use tacky tape wrapped in teflon (release film, etc). that is what we do sometimes. If this is a part you are doing alot of, you can get pressure tape from airtech (black stuff), and that works well, it molds to the mold surface…just make sure you have lots of slack everywhere when bagging.
