Axel Xtend semi perm

Merry Christmas folks has anyone experience with the Axel Xtend semi perm release products?

Currently looking for a semi perm release system that will work well with both polyester/gel coat(both spray & hand) and also epoxy resin with in mould coatings such as 2k paint. Normal working temp of 30°C with a max tempof 50-60°C if post curing in mould.
I have experience with Frekote and Chemlease on polyester tooling but have not used it with epoxy or inmould coatings.

Have used Meguiars velocity with epoxy it works ok but is very prone to fish eyeing soon to test with mist coat first for IMC.

Plan on testing a few types but a heads up on any semi perm release system that will cover both bases will be most welcome.

TIA

We use the 19SAM release and I have never had any problems with it. We put on 4 or 5 coats without any sealant, then a coat every 2nd or 3rd time. We use prepreg so that’s epoxy at 120deg. I haven’t used it much with the 'esters so could comment. You can get a build up after a while and only the Axel mould cleaners can remove it.

We have also used the 818, which gives a better finish but it doesn’t release as well.

Top tip: 19SAM will turn to jelly when exposed to moisture so keep the lid close and store in a dry place.

I like axel products. For gelcoat application XTR sealer + 818 release works great, however do not use 818 for direct epoxy use. Axel has other releases for this. For epoxy I prefer Frekote products

I have good results with Ferro (Ferrokote) FS10 (cleaner, sealer, release). Both polyester and epoxy works well, also at elevated temperatures.

I should also know about Chemlease products, but still have too little experience to say anything decent.

I liked the Zyvax products as well.
