At last I introduce you the first new Carbon fiber Lower Hugger and Rear tail for Aprilia Dorsoduro Factory. The products are very similar like the carbon fiber panels of the Aprilia Dorsoduro factory in matte superb surface. I must say that it was little difficult to created but it was worth it.

Very nice george. How is this made? is it wet lay and vac bagged?. Infused? or prepreg?
All the items are made through infusion system.
Is this a one piece mould? looks like it could be. Any chance of seeing a pic of the tooling?
Correct the rear tail is one piece mould but the lower front hugger is 3pcs (Left - Right - Middle) very difficult part.
So you infusing into a three piece mould. How do you do the bag? never done infusion on something like that particular item. Or is it made in three seporate pieces with small flanges and bonded together to form the final piece?
tooling pics would be great, dtrcmm you can get mat clear coat, looks like a evan matt finish so im thinking its had a clear.
There are release agents that provide matte finishes right out of the mold.
Yeap correctly, I made it in three separated pieces with small extra flanges and bonded together to form the final piece. Honestly it is a very difficult part:(. When each item is finished then I use a small clamps and connect it together. Very difficult to connect them in right position plus that you must careful the resin to not lick the part because maybe you loose the glossy surface.
