Anyone with Divinymat experience?

I was looking at different flow media for infusion and came across Divinymat “structural flow media”. Has anyone used this?

My question is really how do you set it up? It appears that you put your layers of cloth in your mold and then put the Divinymat in, put down your release ply and bag it? Or do you need to put another layer of reinforcement over the Divinymat?

It is advertised as a flow media for infusion, but since it is “structural”, I assume it stays in the part, but there is no mention of how much resin will be taken up by the Divinymat.

Any information or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was looking into it as well. My understanding is that the slits cut into it aid in the infusion process by acting like internal channels to help during infusion. So it works just like a core, and needs to be skinned on both sides. This should eliminate the need for flow netting. Soric is the same thing. It acts as a core and an internal flow media at the same time.

I could be wrong tho as I’m slightly new to all this myself.

Any idea how much allowance you need for resin when using this? I don’t see it on the data sheet.

No idea. Sorry. The nice thing about infusion, mix up enough for just the fabric. If you see you are about to run out, pinch it off, mix up some more, and keep going.
