Just wondering if there is any one else out there. (not looking to meet up ive got a girlfriend already  )

Id never actually noticed that (theres usually one bird on every site, easy to spot them just look for the post with lots of replies ). I might as well of asked if there was any women on here the number of brits that replied!!
Hi, just joined up after someone recommended this site to learn the ways of carbon fibre!
I am from Scotland, and yes…I am female
well welcome
At last i new i wasnt the only one!! Welcome to the site great to have someone local to me  (im just south of Birmingham).
Have you found any suppliers yet for you stuff? If its any help i can look up a web address of a company i used to get my stuff from. Its in cornwall but they do deliver and even if you find someone local to you (which could be v likely ) they have a great catolog which is free with a load of tips and other useful things. (This site is still alot better but some of the info is handy).
anyway Welcome to the site
mike
(Evan hope you dont mind the above bit as i guess shipping over here from the US would cost a fortune. Will look into it though as the £ is quite good at the mo and if anyone deserves my money its you for this site. Would have prob given the idea up ages ago if it werent for you and the others
( Im sure i can fit a couple more paragraphs in here some where)
Great, thanks very much!
I have alot of reading to do on these forums, but if I have any queries, I now know where to ask!

Was I the one that referred you?
It was saxman, from a del sol owners forum in the uk!
Not at the least bit Mikey
me im from sunny leicester!
I’m from the UK, but living in Indianapolis. I can still spell carbon fibre and mould correctly, though!
Where i come from (Canada) mold is that nasty green stuff that grows on your bread lol . A mould is for making parts
Nasty Green stuff = PVA!
Hi, im from the UK…from the sunny Isle of wight :-).
Work in the Wind Turbine Tooling Part of my Company, been doing it 5+ years now.
Welcome to the forum!
That sounds interesting. Could you tell us something about how the wind turbines are made, tooling, materials etc?
I cant say too much about how the ‘blades’ Windturbines are made (too many spys about lol), but my company uses a wood \ Balsa \ carbon infused lay-up and our other factories worldwide use the same and also prepreg.
Moulds are part wet lay up with the rest of the layers infused, 21 layers for the last mould we made with the latest moulds being all carbon.
Just come back from Denmark last week - infusing a 44 metre carbon mould (one half of it)… a lot of carbon and resin in the lay up!!! took about 2 hours to infuse the lot, 9 layers of 500g carbon in one go
Back off to denmark in a couple of weeks to do the other side…bloody cold out there.
The 59metre mould is just massive, infact the whole danish site is huge.
