Hi Canyon, I have attached a couple of pictures, the first being of my friends race car which I had to make the centre tub for.
It was the first large mould that I had made and the part was constructed using polyester resin, e-fibre, with the last layer being a glass cloth. there is no paint applied nor did we have time to polish the tub prior to the event, that’s how it came out of the mould with a coloured gel-coat finish.
There are a couple of images of some of the carbon parts that I have made in the last year, they are all wet-lay, either open moulds, vacuumed or compression cast depending upon the item. Again, no lacquer coating and no gelcoat this time, all they have had is a light hand polish with some mild abrasive, chrome cleaner.
