Another bad part DOH!

^%$#* &^%$ :o

I pulled a new part from a new mold today, man I do love this new mold. Problem was bridging again. I don’t seem to get the cloth down tight into every nook and kranny before I pull significant vacuum. I tried pulling just 2 to 3 hg while I massaged the stack down into the mold. Problem here was when i massaged one side down the opposing corner would then bridge.

Other than the areas that bridged the part is great.

I need a spray glue that doesn’t dry. It takes me about 1.5 hours to set up a mold for infusion and the time spray glue application takes place it dries before i can infuse the stupid part.

just don’t spray the whole part. what i do is spray a bit in the middle of the part and work towards the edges, spraying again where needed.

have you ever thought about doing a wetlayup instead of infusing? use a cleargelcoat, you will have equal of a part with a much higher success rate with no finish work in my opinion. You can make nice parts just by vacuum/wetlatup. Infusion is good way to make a nice part but it isnt always applical
