first day back at collage. Donig more cnc and lathe work but going to be using alpha cam for drawing.

Started today? It’s a bit late for the semester system and a bit early for the quarter system! Then again I’m only referencing the schools near me.
What classes are you taking?
In the UK school terms run from september till december, then January till April, then April till End June/early July.
CNC programming, machine setting and operration, and basic drawing using alpha cam.
Term starts in september ans Matvd stated.
I used Alpha cam when I was at college, but that is going back over 10 years now, not used it since, Im sure the software has changed a little since then. The last time I did any CNC programming it was in G code, but even that was nearly four years ago now! basically since I started up on my own! I find it far more cost effective to get stuff done at my local machine shop.
Yer its still in g code. although the lathe we use has a 3d drawing of the part that is getting machined. I am looking forward to learning G code.
