Airtak or Other Spray Adhesive

Where can I buy individual cans of Airtak? Have any of you guys used 3M 77 spray adhesive on epoxy rtm projects? What tactifier have you used with epoxy and how were the results?
Thanks in advance.

3m77 spray for me had no problems despite what others may think

Just some infusions i have used 3m spray it works well for me and iv read some bad reveiws about it personaly its down to preferance i use it light with not a a mark on demoulded items and Does not leave any residue what so ever. Its down to the user!! You pick up a paint guns and get runs dont blame the gun!!!

See what works best with you and your resin. If you get good results using airtak keep it its all about finding what suits your system best.

very nice pieces, thanks for the quick reply. The 77 is available here in town, so easy to get. Thanks, Ro

But I use 3M77 like Brainstorm and don’t have problems with it either.

Use it and use it light. I dont have a problem with it and works fine for me

Seems we share alot of things rotorage and inc good advice

Thanks Brainstorm and Rotorage. Just getting ready to start some infusion and don’t want to cause any more problems than necessary. I appreciate your help.

Use it lightly. I have seen problems with 3M77 or Super77, so I would not recommend it. It is easily available though.

I opted for the following:

-Airtac 2
-Ce-Sense Resin Infusion Spray Glue.

The latter has a nice report on effects in laminates.

Brainstorm: i was wondering what brand of infusion resin you use

Epock Z is the best for epoxy. Super77 is one of the worst. Not sure about V/PER resins though. The study is ongoing as well, but after several infusions and tests with various spray tacks, Epock Z came out on top for not effecting the performance of the part.

All the studies I have seen compare against 77 and other spray adhesive/tacktifiers and not the laminate with out. once you look at it compared to laminate without u see that even the epoxz effects the laminate. Hopefully they have improved on there formula of the epoxz as it has poor tack.
