Can we get some dialogue going about what parts of the A350 are carbon, and what type of carbon they are? I’ve heard so much about it in the 787, especially since that airplane uses it more extensively and in more novel applications, but haven’t heard that much about it in the A350 - except for the pretty misleading statement that the fuselage is full carbon (as most news websites have been reporting since its first flight). Only the skin panels are composite laminates, correct? stringers and all in the fuselage are still metallic?
