Ah, toys.....

Laying up 100 layers is for the dogs!!!

One shot, one part!
God I wish it was carbon!

3Tex baby! Below the billet is standard 24oz S2

What was that made for Riff?

I know nut-Ting! I see NUT-TING!
I’m always given things and told to do it. I rarely ask questions, because half the time I never get an answer!

its a 3d fiberglass thingy. its thin, but when wetted, it becomes as thick as you see in the pic. Only thing u gotta be careful , is the resin must be uniform on the surface.

That thing must be insanely strong. How heavy is it?

it weighs almost nothing

Um
It’s 3d fabric, right out of the box. Dry. It’s not a composite compressed sponge!

It will not, and SHOULD not expand. Otherwise all your designs go out the window when diamentions change!! It is many layers of 0/90 stitched together with Z direction. It is 1" thick already. a 45" section of that weighs over 7kg. I can’t wait to unbag it and see how much it weighs…

sorry, i just repeated what the guy who showed me said…

This it?

No, that seems different. Almost like the center of the “fabric” is airy, and only the Z fibers hold apart the top and bottom layer. Interesting stuff.
