This new material could have a great Composite high end uses sort of like honeycomb.

That would be awesome if it can be used as a structural honeycomb.
And that little chunk you see in the guy’s hand costs $600. just kidding, but i bet it’s expensive.

I’ve done a search in the last 2 months on areogel, and it looks like there is absolutely NO new or better information in the last 3 years! So many links are broken, and so many prices haven’t changed in ages.
I wonder why there is no real research on areogel. I can find TONS of research papers on things, but nothing on this stuff.
Maybe everyone said that it’s nice, but too hard to make, and gave up?? Only one company seems to be using it in a product (insulation batting I think?)
