Accutrak leaktester

I’ve bought a secondhand Accutrak leaktester. I tested it today with some good headphones and when I turned it on it made a bad rustling noise. It is the same sound as a bad ampifier like [ame=“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCAW5ppMAQc”]BAD amp noise - YouTube[/ame] . When I turn the Accutrak volume up, it is getting to loud to listen true the headphones

Is this rustling sound normal for a accutrak because it is very enoying and I don’t know if is normal becuase it is secondhand. It is also very hard or impossible to hear a small leak.

I use the Accutrak, this bad amp sound is not normal.

When you turn it on do you hear anything or does is make a little bit of noize ?

It does make little bit of noise which gets louder as the volume is turned up.

If the volume slide is set about 1/3 of the way then the sound of you sniffing through your nose should be quite loud and obvious relative to the background noise.
