About Nomex Honeycomb Cores

Nomex is a registered trademark for meta-aramid material developed by DuPont whereas Kevlar is for para-aramid materials. Likewise, the honeycomb like flat structures made from meta-aramid papers are widely known as Nomex Honeycomb Cores. The Nomex Honeycomb cores are produced by impregnating the meta-aramid papers with high modulus phenolic resin. These Nomex honeycomb cores are very light weight but very strong, fire-corrosion resistant and good insulators of current.

Nomex honeycomb cores are initially produced as huge lumps, about 400mm thick and 1300x2600, 1200x2500mm in size. These big lumps are then sliced into thinner sheets of required thickness; mostly 3mm, 3.5mm, 6mm, 10mm etc.

Nomex honeycomb cores are available in two different cell structures:
Regular Hexagonal RX
Overexpanded OX

Application wise, these nomex core are divided into Aerospace grade and Commercial grades.

We are CA Composites, one of the most reliable exporter of these nomex honeycomb cores from China.
