hello im new to using cf but im use to fglass now the project im going to be is overlaying my rear valance and side skirts? also im going to be doing a hood how do i renforce the hinge mounts and the hood release area?
If you’re used to working with fiberglass, then you should have a general idea of how things work. CF is just more delicate to work with and it is harder to layup than glass. Usually hood are reinforced with either aluminum and/or kevlar. I would go with kevlar but you’ll need to have plenty of it to make sure it’s up to par. If it’s too much of a hassle figuring that out, just stick with aluminum.
