A couple new products :)

Blue Integra Cargo cover
Red Eclipse cargo cover
Twill carbon non-power windows door panel inserts

Let me know what you think?

Well…in a word…“SOLD”, lol. At least I’m sure they already were, cause’ they look great.
But thats like dating a model and asking your friends…“so what do ya’ think of her” ?
Everyone is quietly thinking jealous thoughts of perversions they can’t possibly get to do ! lol
Please elaborate the lay-up build and such.

wow  thanks for the props, the red is sold but the blue is for stock. I just made a silver eclipse one and another red one. I also just made an all blue integra one and a yellow integra one. I did this so the customers can see what the fabric looks like cured. I will post pics of the other ones tomarrow when I shape and buff them

the layup was just normal infusion. Nothing special. I made the door panels in a single mold so I can do the pair together

if you want to see everything I market myself, I made a cardomain site that has my personal items on it. We make more stuff but they are for other companies

Very cool Problems…your hittin your niche markets well !
Are you able to price your parts at retail and get no flack from your customers ? It seems that car guys often forget the rule is …" you gotta pay to play" !
I also wanted to ask what your favorite semi-perm mold release was ?

yeah I price my cargo covers retail at $250 which is pretty good because I can make a lot of them in the course of a day. Since I am making stuff that really no one else has I can set my prices on a lot of stuff. I just use the meguires mold release. 6 layers on a new mold then a new coat every 3rd pop. That has been the easiest and never a stuck part in the mold

Sounds like good turn around ! Those things should be FLYING out the door at that price ,I would think ?

Yeah we really don’t have a problem selling them

Here is a pic of the silver one, this is before shaping and buffing. Also here is all the colors we do so far. The picture with the all blue and the micro silver, this is also some new fabric I got that is supposed to mimic carbon fiber. It is pretty close appearence wise. They sent me it in hopes that I would use it instead of carbon because of the shortage. It is cool stuff but I am getting into using it for function more and more now. There is also some micro silver.

Here is a pretty crappy pic of the mold for the door panel inserts that someone asked for. Also just because I was bored here is a days worth of door panel manufacturing. We make 3 pairs of carbon and a pair of fiberglass about a day for them

Very nice, and thanks for the pix too !Is your materials supplier for cloths a secret or can I ask ?
The idea of an alternate materials sounds like a good thing to have a handle on.

I got a roll from canada from someone that had a roll. My colored fabrics I get various place. Pretty much it is who ever has any in stock anymore. There is a guy that has colored on ebay for $2,600 a roll. It is getting very hard to find anyone that has anymore in stock and carb.com said the shortage will last 3 years!!!

Here is what the orange looks like when it cures

Yes , those hybrids are sweet ! looks like they are difficult to capture in a photograph too !
Are you using a hybrid VER ?

I got better pictures this afternoon, but when I took the one before it was halfway sunny. It got brighter this afternoon but I forgot my cord for the digital to upload them. I have green and purple parts as well. As far as the VER goes I use a normal VER that I thin 20-25% with styrene because it is kinda thick

Here is some better pic of the orange
