Well I got bored of the normal day stuff so I decided to make a little 9 minute video of us infusing some flat panels. I did a little commentary as well and sorry if I was moving the camera too fast lol
Let me know if you have any questions
yes, …rock on.
yes, …rock on. what sort of resin are you infusing with?
You talk about getting trapped air and moisture stuck in the laminate, but can’t the flow media cause that? it looked like the resin just raced through the flow media area? Isn’t that a worry?
this resin was just a normal RTM poly since they were just mouse pads. That is the point of the flow media to ge the resin going and also placed in slow area. You are right the flow media does give the trapped air and moisture in the piece a place to go. But it also keeps the air on the top layer and not further in the laminate
did you do a gel coat on these mouse pads? any pics of the finished prod?
How do those mouse pads work? Optical mice and laser mice typically don’t like high gloss surfaces.
i have to pop the mouses after only 12 hours of cure from the mold and then the surface of the carbon starts to show after several hours. That is enought surface for optical mouses to pick it up
