could you possibly give me the brand of it, model number and the manufactures date? I want to make sure I can use it all before it goes bad.
thanks – pretty interested
Its Merrittsupply.com “summer time” formula. Ill check the barrell tomorrow for part numbers and dates. Its left over stock from a Lego job we did.
A Lego job?
If you go to Disney in Orlando, and I think the one in California. We made the yellow race track in the Lego store. As well as a few of the toy boxes.
It is also the reason why I hate one off’s.
Production date was January 21 2008. Ill have the rest of the info tomorrow.
As long as you keep it out of sunlight and heat (prop up on some 2x4’s too) a barrel can be good for a couple or more years. You can help the length time by adding in Nitrogen after each pour out as it is the oxygen that starts the curing process.
Summer mix is a less % of the colbalt so it cures a little bit slower.
any word on that drum? I am in no hurry just curious
Heres the info:
Manufacturer: Suin Resins
Lot: 080084
Manu Date: Jan 21 2008
Part number: p 125 tix
Weight: 500 lbs
Its been indoors and away from the garage door since day one. Should still be good.
i just had one last question, I have not researched that resin yet but is it just a general purpose resin?
why I ask as well because I dont see the part number on the chart. Nor did the company have a contact number to reach them!
mainly interested in the viscosity? what were you using it for? is it still on a pallet?
We were using it for open mold, hand layup and/or chopper gun apps.
Ill double check the part number tonight.
so it should be fine for low production molds? like maybe 10 parts out of the mold
Yup. Thats all our shop does. Short run production. Were focusing more on the engineering aspect of our parts now, and less on the production. Which is why were selling this barrel.
Ive made several molds with this stuff. Its pretty easy to work with.
