wish me luck

these are the 2 sets i made this weekend.

they look pretty good eh?

now i have to figure out how to clear coat them:confused::confused:

Spray gun and clear coat, scotch brite them at least dnt just clear coat them

i would just like to give every body who has helped me down this new road for me, a big THANK YOU!

my clear coat spraying skill need some honing. but i was able to finally end with a finished product.

now its time to make another mold…hehe

Nice Doug!

Looks great that blue is a perfect match.

thanks, i gave up on the colored kevlar/carbon. it pretty difficult to work with. the ones on the table are pure carbon fiber. the ones on my car are carbon/fiberglass.

well done, sir.

Kevlar is a pain . You actually have a hard mold to work with. The fabric will have tension. One thing tO try is to preform the fabric. Take a big piece and lay it in and debulk. Itwill take the shape. Save the bag for consecutive de bulks. Then when you lay and spray adhesive for the final part is kinda nestsin there.

Well done.

great idea dallas

thank you sir

always colored glass/PET. i think the PET holds color better than colored glass will. doubt you will have any more trouble cutting compared to the carbon.

what is PET?

Polyethylene Teraphthalate, say that three times fast!

Like this stuff.

I’ve ALWAYS wanted to get some of this Titanium to have a custom Carbon Titanium fabric woven just like Pagani did. Haven’t seen anyone other then Pagani do it so I’m sure there would be a demand. Copper would also be nice to have woven in with Carbon for a different look.

oh yaaaaa. that is beautiful…

^^---- yeah, that stuff. better than dyed kevlar I think, MUCH brighter.

Yes…

^ Oh man not only do you have some, but it’s in a 3D weave! Is there a material you haven’t had your hands on? :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, Im trying to figure out what Im seeing in the first pic. I see the splashes of copper colour in the middle but theyre not complete and I dont think they`re going under and over another thread like in a weave. What is this?
