I can see if I can dig up more photos, but bear with me. another 10 days before a big show (METS, Amsterdam)
If I fill the gap between the rolls with epoxy how do you avoid that the epoxy flows out at the end of the rolls? In the pics it looks like there is a gap between the roll ends and the teflon sheet.
How could you apply vacuum/pressure in between the rolls or do you mean vacuum and pressure at the laminate? I am designing such a machine to be able to use honeycomb so I couldnt absorb excess resin at the lower mold skin side of the laminate.
There are adjustable wedges at the ends. I will try and find a picture. If you are planning on honeycomb, do a 3 step process for optimal Vf. Forst outer skin, then glue in honeycomb, then inner skin. The latter perhaps in a 2 step process.
I ment pressure or vacuum at the laminate.
If I do the laminate in 2 or 3 steps am i not loosing the weight advantage with the bonding layer? Any tip on that glueing layer?
Should I use a simply peel ply and brush epoxy or is there any special finish peel ply or add any additive to the epoxy destined to glue the honeycomb?
