Resin catch pot

Yeh my issue is that, as with everything composites, if you buy small amounts then you pay through the roof. So I wouldn’t want to purchase by the meter due to cost, but I couldn’t guarantee that I would use 10 meters in a year, and hence won’t commit to it. There’s no way I’m throwing thousands in the bin just to make some parts better than I could with infusion.

There’s also storage issues, 10+ metres of carbon cloth will take up a bit of room.

hi hanaldo
i get u, best way is change production in to prepreg to get the benefits of prepreg, otherwise better stick to infusion. i used to produce car parts in my workshop byinfusion and i know where u coming from.
so how much dry carbon u use weekly/monthly?
regards

At the moment I’m using about 1.5 metres per month. Bit hard to gauge though really, as at the moment I’m doing mostly small parts so not using a lot of fabric. But I’ve got a bonnet and some fenders on the list which will chew through probably 5 metres in a week.

hey hanaldo
u can email me if u have any further enquiries, as im checkin my mails more often im checking posts on here
