take your time! ive been reading and practising for 4 months now and still havent made anything proper yet lol which is amazing for me as im the most impatient person in the world lol
this is my test part i made from a storm pipe,to save me the expense of making a mold,it looks good but theres actually plenty wrong with it,but the good thing is i think i know how to avoid al these faults next time
are you vacuum bagging it?
good luck m8
This is what Im talking about. Is there a way to fix this, or do I need to throw this away and start over. Is it possible to add a couple thick layers of resin over this and then sand it down and buff it?
try wetsanding then clearcoat.
With what grit? I tried using 240 wet. The thing is that some of the areas are “dry” with no resin, except what has soaked into the fibers. I dont want to start sanding only to notice that Im ripping up the fibers. So should I build up the resin first, then sand, then clearcoat?
I think 240 wet is a little aggressive. I would start at 600 or even higher.
