something called Flash breaker tape. There are several brands, and types. (I think one is trademarked Flash Breaker?)
It uses a silicone adhesive, which will not melt off, like other tapes. Comes in blue, green, and high-temp kapton colors. Check out Airtech, Northern Fiberglass Sales, and CS Hyde for some ideas.
are there any similar tape where i can find in local hardware stores like home depot or lowes?
As I stated before great work, and looking back I do have a question, when making your hoods/trunks, you have the skin, and of course the frame, do you separate the skin from the frame and make your molds that way, or do it while they are still one piece?
