My 2nd bike project

did it ruin your stock fairings or was there enough wax and mold release to keep them in good shape?

Interesting to say the least. I figured that the ram air holes would have been a major pain in the arse to fill.

So you did say you used one piece no cuts no fillers? Thats the hardest part you know…getting them to have seams that are pretty or no seams at all.

Again, good job.

RC…youre not going to save the original parts. I can promise you that if you do your molds right the original parts are going to be junk.

fz. i really want to try the acetone trick more on a whole part. what do u recommend? i didnt see a haz in the small area that i put some just a few days ago… but now i want to try it all over the mold/gelcoat.

let says i have to pull the carbon off to adjust… will it harm either the CB or the GC?

RC. the stock parts are junk, I used a rashed up set and bondo. And I had to cut the side fairings in 1/2 to make a belly pan plug.

Luisn, once you put the fabric down its not going to come off without damaging the weave or the gel coat may just come off with the fabric. It’s a one shot deal most of the time. I only do it on cut lines or places the fabric just will not stay put.

You guys inspire me to do more!

Nice GSXR fairings! Did you vacuum bag them or? They look flawless.
