Don’t remember if you picked a pump up yet. But a vacuum pump would really help remove any voids.
I would rather not buy a vaccum pump as i would only use it a couple times for this project, but it definitly would solve the problem

if its just a small void. Then you can repair it with thickened epoxy. Let cure and carefully sand it out. Then wet sand and polish. You will want to grind the void first with a small dremel stone. Then sand the area around the void with 150.
