JEC 2012, Paris: photo report

Diacarb comes to my mind.

Herman,

Many many thanks for the coverage of JEC. BTW whats the black soric meant for?

N

Carbon construction.

I searched diacarb and had a few results, not sure which is right. The JEC website has no matches for diacarb? The JEC site seems to have an accurate map, was there an area of the convention where the cutter tool manufacturers were?

Unfortunately the tool guys were scattered all over the place.

I will take a look.

Diamix is one you can try. Do a search on “dia” in the search field of the interactive map.

I think the picture show comes from Masnada

Thanks for sharing Herman! It’s nice to see more of the show, our company only shared a hand full of pics with us when they got back. Funny part is a couple of them were taken only a couple feet from where you took some of your pics. I wish I could have went with them to meet you and DDCompound in person for once. Maybe next year…
You don’t have any more pics do you?

No, not much interesting. I was short on memory on my camera, so I was a bit selective. The pictures I left out were either pultrusion based (some mainly of pultrusion mould makers, and bobbin-unrollig racks) One of my customers is setting up a pultrusion factory.

The rest was either double / blurry, or more or less boring.

I should have taken a picture of DD and me.

Next time a Composites Central / Chapter Europe meeting at JEC?

I would like to see the bobbin unwinding rack if you could. Are they powered of unwind from tow tension? Any tensioning sensors? What about tow guides or redirects?

A Composites Central meeting at JEC would be great!

Great pictures! I wish I could have gone haha.

Good post and very interesting!!!

to hear about but i cannot see the pics…?

Pics do work here…
