Fast, How are you going to join the two halves ?
AAharvey… did you mold that tail part yet? Just curious to see how you are or did do it.
I demolded the one-half of mine today (CBR tail mold) from the plug. It came out very nice, i see some room for improvement on my part but it’s a very good mold still. I’ll post photos tomorrow.
I do believe TET and the other guys are correct… i thought i could infuse the both halves at the same time ( bolt the mold together) but there are just too many upside down curves for that. So what i am going to do is infuse each half ( make each half ) then epoxy glue/carbon fiber the two halves together from the underside.
It looks very simple to infuse one half at a time… looking at this new mold.

No I haven’t had a chance yet. I’ve still got my R1s wiring in bits and also have a CR125 motocross bike to rebuild the engine on for a young lad. They will be done first and then I’ll be back to the swingarm covers / tail unit.
I agree with you, I’ve spent ages looking at this and really wanted to infuse with the mold halves bolted together but I’ve accepted that this is just too complex for my current skills. I’m going the same as you now, when the molds are built I’m going to infuse in 2 halves then join them together.
It’s also still really cold here in the UK and unfortunately I have to work outside in a garage. I’ll post pics on progress as soon as there is any!!!
