Cutting / Sanding Booth Build

Cup gun or I call them DUMP guns…

they can be very messy if you point it downwards without air pressure…dumps gelcoat all over the ground

…or your shoes! :o

haha yea i never thought about that…my first time using it, i was told by a friend to NOT PUT IT UPSIDE DOWN WITHOUT PRESSURE!!! so what did i do? tilted it down…lol noticed it was dripping and turned around to see wtf and it slung gelcoat all over the place…not good

racedout,

I got my air saw today and played with it a bit, but it wasn’t cutting all that well. It would just chatter around a lot and not cut effectively at all considering I was cutting carbon of only 2 plies, I think it might be the blades… just the cheap ones that came with the saw. What sort of blades are you using? Standard fine tooth hacksaw blades or something special like carbide? Do they even sell diamond/carbbide blades?

thanks.

…oh, anyone else can feel free to chime in too

Fastrr any progress with the booth? Im also thinking about it. I will use plexi glass. I hate that F-ing dust from FG and CF. :frowning:

i just have the vacuum cleaner right next to the cutting point and it sucks around 90% of the dust…
