I have done some sheets 5 or 6 mm thick with Polyester and as long as the two outer layers are the same not had any problem… I made some coasters for drinks and made a big sheet for them. I just used chopped mat in the core too… I added some black pigment and it just looks like a solid carbon coaster… lol…
