hey moke,
i heard you guys were doing vent tubes, glad to hear its going well. we tossed up having a crack but to do it right (like you) its just too big a step for us to even seriously consider.
we have just been through the certification/testing process for carbon wraps. the biggest issue with christchurch we have found is the bad taste left by cowboys. a number of wraps performed by local contractors for large international companies have needed to be removed due to poor workmanship. i agree, its easy to teach a lacky to prepreg, but good quality hand lay, paticularly on a xxxx surface is a bit of an art. We have done heaps of work for fletchers over the years, and start our next job in a few weeks, replaceing concrete exterior columns with fire retardant poly/glass. 300 odd items 3m x 1m roughly.doing the branz thing at the moment. there are more earthquake prone buildings in welly than anywhere else in the country, so we hope to be busy.
