Air intake pipe

Dont forget to subtract 14.7psi from that in order to get the “actual” amount of boost you can run with it. Even then, thats enough air to blow up just about anything.

yes, 2bar it`s still

from 1 I don`t have traction (FWD)
but at 1.5 I blow my engine :stuck_out_tongue:

but 2bar wow

You need 4wd - total traction.

Then the transmission blows up.

guys , guys, just because my map sensor is 3 bar (manifold absolute pressure, which means it can read up to 2 bar of boost)doesnt mean i’m gonna be running that… okay , i can run up to that, i’ve run up to 1.8 bar, but the turbine runs out of puff around there.

never blown an engine, i do my mapping myself… gearboxes break (3rd gear) at around 1.5 bar…

no need for 4wd evodelta, mine breaks on 2wd too

its a bitch… the only way is to go full custom gearbox which is RELATIVELY cheap , at 2000 euros

that ain’t cheap here

Relative or not…OUCH!!! Not sure what an Evodelta is, but, your transmission sounds like some of the FWD Nissan tranny’s. They blow up at just over 200 whp.

Hehe, mine has held to 606whp 502wtq. But I’ve got 4 fresh ones on the shelf as back-ups.

ours (starlet turbo) breaks around 270hp+

my last engine was putting out 287, now the new one is gonna be better (i hope)… it’s being put together as we speak

Nice! Thats a Z transmission Im guessing? I love Nissan, hate their transmissions.

Got a 240SX being built at the moment. We’ve got a hook up on Skyline motors down here. Hoping to put a 2.6 in in very soon.

Nope, it’s a very fast Nissan Maxima. 2 of my 4 spare trannies are built with straight cut dog shift 1-4 gears, but the helical syncromesh is still holding up. I’ve had more trouble in my N/A maxima that revs much higher.
My 240 is running a Z 6 speed, and won’t be breaking that for a long time. IMO, the RB is terrible for a 240. My new setup has better weight distribution than stock, as a V6 is shorter.

I agree, but it just needs to go straight

Straight line= yawn.

indeed

heres a pic of my baby while i wait for epoxy to dry

ok, back to the topic.

this is just out of the mold, untrimmed and unsanded. i did some modifications and let it dry, now to be continued later this week…

carbon stuck with spray adhesive, about to apply resin.

soon final pics.

cure time ???

its 30 degrees C here, so between applications 2-3 hours, it’s solid.

not bad ,how long to trim, finish, polish ??

i must have it ready by this week, my engine is being assembled

ok, i was in a hurry, so i didnt add many layers of resin to sand it to complete smoothness, but nevermind. i gotta give the parts to the mechanic to complete the rustbucket’s engine.

so, here it is, sanded and clearcoated.

and an inside view, for those who requested it.
